In December, Quilpie Shire Council received a refurbished stock suction sweeper mounted on a Hino FG truck. The equipment was upgraded to high standards per the Council's specifications and designed to replace their smaller existing unit, thereby boosting operational capacity.
The sweeper features a custom mural depicting Baldy Top Hills and Hell Hole Gorge, adding visual appeal to the vehicle. The truck-mounted design enables coverage across larger areas of the Shire as it travels between towns.
Upon arrival, all operators underwent comprehensive training and certification through a program delivered by the company's Certificate IV trainer assessor. The Council enthusiastically shared the delivery on their Facebook page, demonstrating strong community support for this addition.
