Glen Innes Severn Council received a CityRay 5 sweeper mounted on an Isuzu FSR dual control 14 tonne cab chassis in November 2019. The unit includes standard safety features such as horn alerts when the cab door opens without the park brake engaged, and disabled broom operation when the door is open or body is raised.
The machine features a three-camera safety system covering left, right, and rear views. Its high-pressure system operates at 100 bar (1500psi) and includes a spray bar with a 10-metre hand lance for thorough hopper cleaning.
Council-specific customisations included electronic rust proofing, right gutter boom tilt, screen vibrator with dual controls, and custom toolbox placement. Many of the council requests were already met through the CityRay's comprehensive standard feature set, resulting in a great machine at a great price.
