Longreach Regional Council received a new CityRay sweeper in November, featuring impressive customisations including a bullbar, spotlights, stoneguard, windshields, window tinting, and murals. The vehicle was delivered the same day Qantas celebrated their centenary in the town.
The sweeper includes enhanced dust suppression, a larger radiator for hot climates, dual gutter broom tilt, and rear pit sucker functionality. Additional equipment comprises a high-pressure spray bar, reverse squawker, three-way camera system, blind spot camera, UHF radio, external washing facility, dual toolboxes, auto-lubrication for chassis and sweeper components, directional arrows, light bar, and implement holders.
Driver Ray expressed strong satisfaction: "I like the truck very much, it is very easy to operate. I find it more comfortable to drive, the blind spots are gone because of the camera system. You have just made it a joy!".
